WASHINGTON – Today, President Barack Obama announced his intent to nominate the following individual to a key administration post:

President Obama announced his intent to nominate the following individual to a key administration post:

Ambassador Mark Green, Nominee for Member, Board of Directors, Millennium Challenge Corporation
Mark Green is currently the Managing Director of the Malaria No More Policy Center, the Washington D.C.-based policy arm of the non-profit group Malaria No More (MNM). Prior to joining MNM, Mr. Green served as U.S. Ambassador to the United Republic of Tanzania. Immediately preceding his work as ambassador, Mr. Green served four terms in the U.S. House of Representatives representing Wisconsin’s eighth congressional district. Among his committee assignments, he served as a member of the House International Relations Committee where he coauthored such legislative initiatives as the Millennium Challenge Act; the Global Access to HIV/AIDS Prevention, Awareness and Treatment Act and the United States Leadership Against HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria Act.  Mr. Green serves on the Board of Directors for Center for US Global Leadership, the Board of Advisors of Mothers Day Every Day (a joint project of CARE and White Ribbon Alliance) and the Board of Directors of WorldTeach. Mr. Green holds a J.D. from the University of Wisconsin School of Law and a B.A. from the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire.
