President Obama Nominates William N. Nettles for US Attorney for the District of South Carolina

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, President Obama nominated William N. Nettles to be US Attorney for the District of South Carolina. Nettles is currently an attorney at Sanders & Nettles LLC in Columbia, South Carolina.

“William Nettles’ legal career has been distinguished and impressive,” said President Obama. “I am confident that, as a US Attorney, he will be relentless in his pursuit of justice and serve the people of South Carolina with distinction.”

William Nettles is an attorney at Sanders & Nettles LLC in Columbia, South Carolina, where he has worked since 2005. Prior to that, Mr. Nettles worked as a solo practitioner from 1997 to 2005 in the Law Office of Bill Nettles and was a partner in the law firm Banks & Nettles LLC from 1995 to 1997. He started his legal career as an attorney in the Richland County, South Carolina, Office of the Public Defender. Mr. Nettles graduated from The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina (1983) and the Widener University School of Law (1992).
