President Obama Names S. Amanda Marshall to Serve as U.S. Attorney

WASHINGTON- Today, President Obama nominated S. Amanda Marshall to serve as U.S. Attorneys.

“Amanda Marshall has shown an unwavering commitment to justice throughout her career,” said President Obama.  “I am confident she will continue to serve the people of Oregon with distinction.”

S. Amanda Marshall:  Nominee for United States Attorney for the District of Oregon
Amanda Marshall serves as Attorney in Charge of the Child Advocacy Section of the Oregon Department of Justice, a position she has held since earlier this year.  Previously, she served as Assistant Attorney in Charge of the Child Advocacy Section beginning in 2008 and as an Assistant Attorney General beginning in 2001.  From 1996 to 2001, Marshall worked as a Deputy District Attorney for the District Attorney’s Office of Coos County, Oregon.  Marshall graduated from the University of Oregon in 1992 and the Willamette University College of Law in 1995.
